ATR will attend Bangalore-based Aero India airshow, 7-11 February 2007 This news was published on Monday, February 5th, 2007 and is archived under Business & GA.

On that occasion, ATR Chief Executive Officer Filippo Bagnato will hold a press conference on Thursday 8th February at 10am at the ATR stand (Hall B, Stand B 2.7).

A Strong Presence in India Four Indian airlines operate ATR aircraft in India: Jet Airways, Alliance Air, Air Deccan and Kingfisher Airlines.

ATR has been present in India since October 1999 when the domestic airline Jet Airways took delivery of its first ATR 72-500 aircraft. Its current fleet counts 8 ATR 72-500. At the end of November 2002, ATR signed a lease agreement with Alliance Air, the regional subsidiary of the national carrier Indian Airlines for four ATR 42-320s. Alliance Air started operating the ATR aircraft in December 2002. On 31st January 2007, the airline has booked orders for three second-hand ATR 42-320s. Air Deccan, the first Indian low-cost airline, started its operations with four second-hand ATR 42s in August 2003. In 2005, Air Deccan placed orders for 30 new ATR 72-500 and 6 second-hand aircraft (3 ATR 42-500s and 3 ATR 72-500s). Air Deccan’s fleet includes 22 ATR aircraft (5 ATR 42-300, 10 ATR 42-500 and 7 ATR 72-500). Kingfisher Airlines started its operations with its first ATR 72-500 in April 2006 and has placed orders for 35 ATR 72-500 plus 20 options. In January 2007, Kingfisher Airlines took delivery of the world’s first turboprop aircraft facilitating In-flight entertainment system (IFE). This ATR aircraft is also the first turboprop to be equipped with Light Emitting Diode (LED) in the whole cabin. Kingfisher Airlines has already taken delivery of 6 ATR 72-500. The new IFE, proposed as an option both in ATR 42-500 and ATR 72-500, can be installed on new aircraft during production or also retrofitted on aircraft already delivered. The LED becomes standard in the new aircraft delivered by ATR. Responding to the airlines needs, ATR offers the highest standards of quality and service to passengers according to the ATR principles of high comfort.

ATR aircraft are very well adapted for feeder routes in India and can access most of the airports unable to be operated by jets. They have also the lowest cost per seat mile of the 50- to 74-seat regional aircraft. In addition, low fuel burn and gaseous emissions position ATR as the “green player” of the regional market. ATR currently holds a market share in India of 75% in the 20 to 90-seat regional market. In the turboprop sector, ATR’s market share is 100%.

To date, ATR has delivered 714 ATR aircraft in the world to date and 126 operators currently operate ATRs in more than 70 countries.

More Kids For Katie?

Bring it on.

There's nothing Katie Holmes can't handle after giving birth.

Katie gushed to the US edition of Harper's Bazaar: "I felt so proud to be having a baby and so excited. And I felt closer to other women - to my sisters, to my mom.

"I felt empowered, like, I've given birth - I did it! There's nothing I can't handle."

Kat gave birth to daughter Suri in April 2006.

The 28 year old told the mag she had an easy pregnancy, and did not experience any morning sickness.

And the one thing she craved - cupcakes.

But while many new mums often find motherhood difficult, Katie said her transition has been a great one:

"I've really enjoyed this time that I have taken to be with Suri, as well as the challenges of the first couple of months: feeding and pumping, learning to decipher what each cry means - is she hungry? Is she tired? Does she need a fresh diaper? - and figuring out how to really help her."

So is she planning on having more babies with hubby Tom Cruise?

"Definitely," she said.

The Celeb WWE Wants In The HOF, McMahon Upset With PPV, More

27.01.2007

WWE would really like to get boxing legend Muhammad Ali inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Considering that they are in Detroit for Mania this year, and Ali lives in Detroit, they'd like to get him, especially because they'd get a lot of press for it. If Ali agrees to come, his daughter Layla Ali is the leading candidate to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. Ali appeared at WrestleMania 1 in a referee shirt standing outside the ring during the Hogan/Mr. T vs. Piper/Bob Orton match. Pat Patterson was the actual referee in the match though. Ali also wrestled Antonio Inoki in a match in 1976.

Vince McMahon was not pleased with how the New Year's Revolution PPV went down. The next night in St. Louis before RAW, he read the Riot Act in front of talent because of problems with execution during the PPV.

WWE PPV shows will go live in Italy starting with the Royal Rumble. Italy has been one of WWE's best markets for PPV even though the shows had aired on tape delay. The live shows will air from 2-5 a.m. in Italy.

Match #7: Chris Benoit vs. Finlay vs. Kane vs. King Booker vs. Miz vs. MVP in an Over-the-Top Challenge

Kane goes after MVP, Benoit and Booker lock up, and Finlay fights Miz. Kane starts to dominate everyone in the ring as he beats down everybody. Finlay eliminates Kane with a shillelagh shot. JBL compares Benoit with my favorite quarter back Brett Favre with the ability to win at anytime. I love it! Lights go out and Undertaker is in the ring and cleans house. I guess he's in the match? Taker just destroys everybody in the ring. Undertaker throws over Benoit. Out goes Finlay. Undertaker is the last man standing but I don't think he was in the match.

Ready to Rumble? Tonight there will be a six-man Over-the-Top Challenge and we'll see what will happen as Mr. Kennedy prepares for his first World Title Match

Show Starts

Batista comes out to start the show and he is dressed for action. And now the man Batista is going to steam roll over on his way to the Royal Rumble….Gregory Helms! Helms says Batista may be the World Champion but Helms is the longest reigning champion in Smackdown history! The difference between the two men is that at the Rumble, Batista is going to lose his title! Oh snap.

Match #1: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms

Batista slams Helms in the corner and hits a big boot. Batista clotheslines Helms to the outside. Batista goes out side but Helms gets the thumb in the eye and gets in the ring. Leg drop to the back of the head by Helms and he pounds away. Batista tries to over power Helms but Helms gets some kicks and a leg drop in to take advantage. Helms tries to cover but only gets a two count. Helms runs off the ropes but gets met with a spinebuster! Now a spear by Batista, thumbs downs, and Batista Bomb to add another job to Helms' record.

Written: January 25, 2007 As first reported by WWE Mobile Alerts, WWE Champion John Cena will defend his title this Sunday at the Royal Rumble in a Last Man Standing Match.

The news comes on the heels of Umaga’s destruction of Cena this past week on Raw, where the WWE Champion was seriously injured. Despite what doctors termed “severe abdominal injuries,” John Cena refused admittance to a medical facility Monday night.

Rumors had been circulating all week that at the Royal Rumble this Sunday Cena would forfeit his match against the Samoan Bulldozer. On ECW on Sci Fi this past Tuesday, even Joey Styles and Tazz speculated about the health of the WWE Champion.

Sources close to Cena have told WWE.com that the WWE Champion will compete as scheduled in his Last Man Standing Match vs. Umaga for the WWE Championship.

John Cena could not be reached for comment by WWE.com.
